Chemical Properties

Chlorosulfonated Polyethylene ( CSM ) color is white flakes with Lower Mooney viscosity.

It has excellent resistance and better physical mechanical for for Gases, Aliphatic Hydrocarbons, Sunlight, Ozone, Abrasion, Stain and Oxidation chemical resistance Extreme Temperature resistance from -20^oC to 12^oC), oil resistance, flame resistance, abrasion resistance and electrical insulation etc.

Application

Various CSM properties and grades, created by modifying the chlorination and chlorosulphonation and type of polyethylene polymer, are available. Additional properties can be modified during compounding.

In construction CSPE’s weatherability, UV stability and adhesion capability have made this material very popular as a commercial roofing material. Other applications include wire and cable sheathing and paint.

The CSM can replace CPE, to avoid cracking.
